How To Overcome Addiction Finally. Steps To  Break Addiction Bad Habits And Be Free.

FIRSTLY WHAT IS ADDICTION?

Addiction can be defined as a compulsive behavior that is very difficult to control or stop doing. It is a chronic, relapsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences. Addiction is the term given to a pattern of behavior that causes negative consequences for the individual.

It is considered a brain disease because drugs change the brain they change its structure and how it works. Most people assume that addiction refers only to those who have a compulsive need for a particular substance such as alcohol or drugs.

The most common are alcohol and drug addiction, but people do not just become addicted to illegal drugs. In fact, prescription drug addiction has been a growing problem for some time and in all parts of the world.

EXAMPLES OF ADDICTION
  • Alcohol Addiction
  • Drug Addiction
  • Gaming Addiction
  • Pornography Addiction
  • Eating Disorders Addiction
  • Internet Addiction
  • Sex Addiction
  • and so on
HOW ADDICTIONS ARISES

An addiction, for example, may arise from unexpected social, emotional or environmental pressures. Sudden changes in our environment, family situation or working conditions can threaten our comfort, safety, and way of life. In case of danger, we are victims of painful emotions that prevent us from approaching the situation optimally.

HOW TO OVERCOME ADDICTION HABITS FINALLY

The following are steps to follow to get over the bad habits of Addictions...

(1) MAKE A LIST OF POSITIVE CHANGES YOU WANT IN YOUR LIFE

Now that you've detailed all the negative effects of your addiction, think about how much your life will improve once you've kicked the habit. Create a picture of your life post-addiction. How do you want it to look?

Maybe you'll feel a sense of freedom you haven't had in years. You'll have more time to spend on people, hobbies, and other pleasures. You'll be able to save money again. You know you're doing everything you can to stay healthy. You'll feel immediate physical improvements. You'll feel proud and confident again.

(2) SEEK ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF PLEASURE

Everyone wants to feel good, but unfortunately, mass media and societal norms encourage unhealthy ways of attaining pleasure. Because of social engineering, many people have become convinced that mind-altering substances, lustful relationships, material items, food, and technological gadgets will pave the way to a higher state of existence.

In order to truly overcome an addiction, you need to reflect deeply on your life and figure out why you choose harmful substances and behaviors to fill the emptiness. Start replacing the destructive practices with more wholesome activities or foods, like exercising and consuming more fruits and vegetables. Fill your life with a wide variety of fun, engaging activities that will make you feel satisfied and happy so that you don’t resort to quick fixes to achieve the same goal.
(3) GENERATE A NEW BEHAVIOR

Having gone through the self-evaluation process, you are now ready to create a new empowering behavior that replaces your addiction. And this is of course of paramount importance.

To eliminate a habit, you need to replace it with something else that satisfies the same needs you were craving while indulging in your addiction.

With this in mind, think back to the previous step where you questioned the benefits you derived from your addiction. These benefits are in essence the needs you seek to satisfy while indulging in your addiction. Your new behavior must fundamentally address these same needs. In other words, it must fulfill the same desires of your addiction, but in healthy and beneficial ways.

You must essentially convince yourself that indulging in your addiction is no longer worth your time. Likewise, you must convince yourself that your new empowering habit/behavior has far more value and long-term reward. Ask yourself:

Reshaping your belief systems is never an easy or straightforward process. It takes work and effort. However, there are certain steps you can follow that will help speed up this process. I outline these steps within the Complete Guide on How to Overcome Your Limiting Beliefs.

(4) DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM PEOPLE WHO ENCOURAGE ADDICTIONS

If you want to eliminate drugs and alcohol from your life, it won’t help to hang out at bars with former drinking buddies or surround yourself with drug abusers. You need to find people who value healthy lifestyles and more positive habits, like exercising, playing music, eating nourishing foods, and following their passions in life.

Your current friends may not understand why you can’t include them in your life anymore, but you have to do whatever will help you break free of harmful habits. Ultimately, you get to choose your own friends, so make sure you surround yourself with uplifting people who have your best interest at heart.

(5) STAYING STRONG ON THE ROAD

For men who struggle with a pornography or sex addiction, traveling away from home can be a time of temptation.  Learn how to set appropriate behavioral boundaries, maintain accountability, anticipate and resist common triggers and stay strong on the road.

(6) GET SOME NEW GOOD FRIENDS (BUDDIES)

It works for Girl Scouts, depressives, and addicts of all kinds. I remember having to wake up my buddy to go pee in the middle of the night at Girl Scout camp. That was right before she rolled off her cot, out of the tent and down the hill, almost into the creek.

Our job as buddies is to help each other not roll out of the tent and into the stream, and to keep each other safe during midnight bathroom runs. My buddies are the six numbers programmed into my cell phone, the voices that remind me sometimes as many as five times a day: “It will get better.”

(7) DISTRACT YOURSELF

Any addict would benefit from a long list of “distractions,” activities than can take her mind off of a cig, a glass of Merlot, or a suicidal plot (during a severe depression). Some good ones: crossword puzzles, novels, Sudoku, e-mails, reading Beyond Blue (a must!); walking the dog (pets are wonderful “buddies” and can improve mental health), card games, movies, “American Idol” (as long as you don’t make fun of the contestants…bad for your depression, as it attracts bad karma); sports, de-cluttering the house (cleaning out a drawer, a file, or the garage…or just stuffing it with more stuff); crafts; gardening (even pulling weeds, which you can visualize as the marketing director that you hate working with); exercise; nature (just sitting by the water); and music (even Yanni works, but I’d go classical).

10 Amazing Health Benefits of Eating Water Melon

10 Amazing Health Benefits of Eating Water Melon

Watermelon is a scrambling and trailing vine in the flowering plant family Cucurbitaceae. The species originated in southern Africa, with evidence of its cultivation in Ancient Egypt.

The high amount of water in watermelons also stimulates a release of excess liquid in the form of sweat, which cools your body further during hot summer ...

The following are the Health Benefits of WATER-MELON...

In order to have a proper function of our body, we need sufficient amino acid intake. Our body receives the amino acid intake in the form of glutamate acid and tryptohan. Watermelon seeds are the natural source of amino acid.  Another amino acid found in watermelon seeds are arginine and lysine. Lysine is essential for calcium absorption and collagen formation.

Arginine is used for incrdeasing our metabolism system and cardiovascular health. Thus, consuming amino acid can increase our metabolism system, sexual health, and the organ of our cardiovascular system.

(2.). Sharpening Memory.

Watermelon seeds are essential for building the strength of our memory. Consuming watermelon seeds helps us to make our memory sharp. The more often we consume watermelon seeds, the stronger your memory will be.

(3.).  Help Improve Digestion

Watermelon contains lots of water and a small amount of fiber — both of which are important for healthy digestion.

Fiber can provide bulk for your stool, while water helps keep your digestive tract moving efficiently.
Eating water-rich and fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, including watermelon, can be very helpful for promoting normal bowel movement

(4.).  Reduced Insulin Resistance

Insulin is a very important hormone in the body, and is tightly involved in blood sugar control.

Insulin resistance is the condition in which the body produces insulin, but the cells become resistant to its effects. This can lead to elevated blood sugar levels and is linked to metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.

Watermelon juice and arginine intake have been linked with reduced insulin resistance in some studies

(5.).  Promote Hair Growth.

Watermelon seeds are good for promoting hair growth since they contain copper. Our body needs pigment that brings color to our hair as well as to our skin. The copper content in watermelon seeds can produce hemoglobin. One once of watermelon seeds provide 192 micro gram or 21% of copper for our daily need.

(6.).  Good For Moisturizing Hair and Preventing Hair Breakage

The oil of watermelon seeds can be used to moisture our hair since it is light and easy to absorb without disrupting the pores of our scalp.

Preventing Hair from Breakage.

Watermelon seeds oil is rich of fatty acids that are essential for our hair to make it moisture and safe from breakage.

(7.) . Good for Moisturizing Skin and Prevention of Skin Aging

Watermelon seeds contain unsaturated fatty acids that moisturizes our skin. As a result, our skin becomes soft, firm, and acne free.

 Preventing Skin Aging.

Since watermelon seeds contain antioxidant and oil that will make our skin look younger, healthier and more vibrant, they prevent us from early aging. Consuming a handful of watermelon seeds a week is the best choice for making our skin becomes more healthier.

(8.)  Skin Cleanser.

Its light texture helps us easily remove the dirt and grease in our skin pores. As a result, our skin will be healthy and acne free. The oil can be applied in any kind of skin types.
(9.).  Good For Hydration

"Watermelons help with overall hydration, and that is a great thing," said Lemond. "They say we can get 20-30 percent of our fluid needs through our diet alone, and foods like these certainly help." Additionally, their juice is full of good electrolytes. This can even help prevent heat stroke.

(10.).  Watermelon and Heart Health

Cardiovascular disease causes a great many deaths.

One of the main risk factors of cardiovascular disease is cholesterol content, specifically, the low-density and high-density lipoprotein ratios.

In several studies, it was found that a 10 mg/dL increase in LDL cholesterol was associated with a 12% increase in risk for CVD, demonstrating the importance of maintaining low levels of LDL cholesterol and appropriately higher levels of HDL cholesterol.

Consequently, the reduction of LDL ratios will further decrease one’s risk for associated heart diseases.

Fortunately, the abundance of lycopene found in watermelon has been shown to be an effective compound in lowering such cholesterol levels.
Therefore, people who consume this amount of lycopene from such products as watermelon should expect about a 30%–40% decrease in their risk for heart complications

Premier League: Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte Salutes “Unstoppable” Leaders Man City Ahed Of Clash
Antonio Conte has saluted “unstoppable” Manchester City as the Chelsea manager prepares for Sunday’s clash with the runaway Premier League leaders.

Conte’s reigning champions head to Manchester lagging 22 points behind City and look certain to have to surrender the title to Pep Guardiola’s men.

The city has been riding high all season and faces Chelsea on the back of successive 3-0 drubbings of Arsenal in last weekend’s League Cup final and then the Premier League on Thursday.

Sitting 16 points clear of second-placed Manchester United, it is only a matter of time before City are crowned champions and Blues boss Conte acknowledged their rivals’ quality makes them almost impossible to beat.

“In this moment they seem unstoppable,” Conte told reporters on Friday.

“We must have great admiration for this team because they are having a fantastic path in this season.

“Sometimes it’s very difficult to find a weakness in this team.”

City finished third, 15 points behind Chelsea, in Guardiola’s first season in charge, but now are champions elect.

Asked the reason for the turnaround in such a short space of time, Conte’s answer hinted at his season-long frustration with Chelsea following a series of reported disagreements with the club’s hierarchy over transfer policy.

“When you work very well and there is a great feeling between the manager and the club, you can work in the way

How to Overcome procastination Habit (10 Tips to Overcome Procrastination)

How to Overcome procastination Habit (10 Tips to Overcome Procrastination)

PROCRASTINATION is simply the act of delaying or postponing something. Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline.

Procrastination is a trap that many of us fall into. In fact, according to researcher and speaker Piers Steel, 95 percent of us procrastinate to some degree. While it may be comforting to know that you're not alone, it can be sobering to realize just how much it can hold you back.

Procrastination is often confused with laziness, but they are very different. Procrastination is an active process – you choose to do something else instead of the task that you know you should be doing. In contrast, laziness suggests apathy, inactivity and an unwillingness to act.

Procrastination usually involves ignoring an unpleasant, but likely more important task, in favor of one that is more enjoyable or easier.
In psychology, it has long been believed that people who procrastinate have a faulty sense of time — that they think they will have more time to get something done than they actually do. While that may be true for some, more recent research suggests procrastination is linked to difficulty managing distress.

Do you want to know how to stop procrastinating? Well, for starters, you can stop reading this article right now and get back to work.

How to Stop Procrastinating.. Overcoming the Habit of Delaying Important Tasks Now.

(1.)   Recognize That You're Procrastinating

Firstly you have to identify a problem before you can solve a problem. The first step to overcoming procrastination is to recognize that you're doing it. Then, identify the reasons behind your behavior and use appropriate strategies to manage and overcome it.If you're briefly delaying an important task for a genuinely good reason, then you aren't necessarily procrastinating. However, if you start to put things off indefinitely, or switch focus because you want to avoid doing something, then you probably are.

You may also be procrastinating if you:
Fill your day with low-priority tasks.
Leave an item on your To-Do list for a long time, even though it's important.
Read emails several times over without making a decision on what to do with them.
Start a high-priority task and then go off to make a coffee.
Fill your time with unimportant tasks that other people ask you to do, instead of getting on with the important tasks already on your list.
Wait to be in "right mood," or wait for the "right time" to tackle a task.

(2.)Focus on your “why.”

Procrastinators focus more on short-term gains (avoiding the distress associated with the task), as opposed to long-term results (the stress of not doing it, as well as the consequences of avoiding this task). Instead, try focusing on why you are doing this task: What are the benefits of completing it?

If you've been putting off cleaning out a closet, imagine walking into the closet when it is decluttered and how good that will feel. And consider how much money you will make by selling the items on eBay, or how those in need will feel when they receive these items as donations.

If it is an exercise program you have been avoiding, focus on how exercising will help you have more positive energy, give you a boost of self-esteem, and serve as a great role model for your children.
(.3)  Block Out Distractions
Did you know that willpower is a limited resource that can be depleted like any other form of energy? Much like going on a morning jog tires you out for your evening work out, the more energy you spend resisting temptation, the less energy you’ll have for resisting temptation later on. This has been confirmed by real studies.

What does this mean for someone trying to get rid of procrastination? It means that just knowing that Facebook or Reddit is one click away can make it more likely that you’ll get distracted and start procrastinating. While you might be able to resist the temptation during the first half of your work day, as you expend energy focusing, you’ll become more and more likely to give into temptation and start procrastinating.

(4.)   Increase confidence and self-belief
Students who believe that they won’t be successful at the task at hand are more likely to procrastinate. One way to increase their confidence is to highlight how others who have been in a similar position have been successful (psychologists call this ‘modelling’). This can make the task at hand seem achievable and provide a possible template to follow.

(5.)  Build the Discomfort Habit
One of the best strategies you can use to permanently and on how to overcome procrastination is to become comfortable being uncomfortable. Mastering this skill can allow you to do pretty much anything. You can stop procrastinating, begin that exercise regimen, eat healthier, get that degree, speak in public, and overcome specific challenges in your life.

Similarly, when people try to push aside their junk food and start eating a healthy diet, they often discover that the new food on their plate is bland, unexciting, and not filling. Changing what your taste buds are used to is a bit uncomfortable, but to be honest, you can retrain your taste buds if you are willing to push through a little discomfort.

Discomfort is not a bad thing—it’s just doing something that’s not part of your normal routine. As people avoid discomfort, they pay the price of not being able to change things in their lives, not living a healthy life, and not being open to new adventures.

The important thing to remember here is that a little discomfort is healthy. It can actually turn something you perceive as dreadful into an enjoyable habit—if you’re willing to push yourself at first. So, let’s talk about how to do that.

(6.)   Work Out WHY You're Procrastinating
You need to understand the reasons why you are procrastinating before you can begin to tackle it.
Poor organization can lead to procrastination. Organized people successfully overcome it because they use prioritized To-Do Lists and create effective schedules. These tools help you to organize your tasks by priority and deadline.
Surprisingly, perfectionists are often procrastinators. Often, they'd rather avoid doing a task that they don't feel they have the skills to do than do it imperfectly.

Another major cause of procrastination is poor decision-making. If you can't decide what to do, you'll likely put off taking action in case you do the wrong thing.

(7.)    Set yourself a short deadline
In his meta-analysis on procrastination, researcher Piers Steel notes that ‘it has long been observed that the further away an event is, the less impact it has on people's decisions.’ Break down the task and give yourself a short deadline for each part.

(8.)   Minimize distractions
Turn off your email and social media, and avoid sitting anywhere near a television while you work!

(9.)  Forgive yourself.

Stop beating yourself up about the past. Thoughts such as “I should have started earlier” or “I always procrastinate; I am such a loser” will only make matters worse. Research shows that forgiving yourself for past procrastination will help you stop putting off working on a task.

You can try to use past procrastination to your advantage as well. How? Determine what went into your avoidance — fear, stress, not having a good understanding of how to progress, lack of accountability, etc. Then address those obstacles in the present and future. If, for example, it was fear that contributed to your procrastination, what steps can you take to feel more empowered and less fearful next time around?

(10.)   Keep a To-Do List.
This will prevent you from "conveniently" forgetting about those unpleasant or overwhelming tasks.

STEPS OF MAKING NATURAL VIAGRA WITH WATERMELON AND LEMON

Follow the instructions below to learn how to personally make potent, natural Viagra to achieve stronger man.

STEP 1:- First of all, Get the watermelon fruits and wash thoroughly with clean water. (You can use half of the water melon, depending on the quantity of the lemon.)

STEP 2:-  Cut the watermelon into small pieces and put the pieces into a juicer. You should obtain about 1-liter watermelon juice. It is interesting that the white part inside the shell of watermelon is concentrated with Citrulline so you should juice that too.
Cut it into pieces together with the green skin.

STEP 3:- Move it into food grinder and grind very well.

Then move it into a sieve and compress firmly to get all the juice into a pot. Heat gently to boiling point. As soon as it begins to boil, squeeze the lemon juice into it. (For every average-sized watermelon, use 3 lemon. So if you are preparing with 2 watermelon fruits, add all the juice from 6 lemon to it as soon as it begins to boil.)

STEP 4:- Allow it to boil much further. Watch closely to know when the ordinary water content of the mixed juice has evaporated. (You will know the undesirable water content is fully gone when the volume comes down to half of its original size).
STEP 5:- Now, put out the fire and allow it to cool off. When cold, sieve it again for further purification. Then store it in your refrigerator or alternatively, cool dry place.

STOP CANCER -- Scientists Discover New Tool To Fight Cancer (See Details Here)

According to the US medical journal Science Translational Medicine, Swedish scientists have discovered a new tool to fight cancer. Small molecules that specifically restrain a selenium-containing enzyme in the human body may become a tool to fight cancer, a new study by Swedish scientists has said.

The researchers effectively treated over 60 different types of cancer cells under laboratory conditions with these molecules. The study published in the US medical journal Science Translational Medicine on Wednesday said researchers at Karolinska Institute in Sweden treated cancer in mice with these molecules and observed rapid tumor-killing effects.

They have expressed hope that this new principle could be extended to treat cancer in humans, Xinhua news agency reported. Selenium is a chemical element that is an essential micronutrient. A selenium-containing enzyme, called TrxR1, can be used to support the growth of various cells and protect them from oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress is the imbalance between the production of free radicals, which are highly reactive with other molecules, and the body’s ability to counteract or to repair the resulting damage.

However, in several forms of cancer, raised levels of TrxR1 could be detected. Researchers analysed almost 400,000 different molecules to find new ones that would more specifically control TrxR1 and found three different types which proved to be active as anti-cancer medicines.

“This effectiveness against cancer may be a result of cancer cells’ seemingly greater sensitivity to oxidative stress when compared to normal cells, which in turn can be utilised in cancer therapy,” Elias Arner, a professor at the Karolinska Institute, who led the study, said. “This seems to work in mouse models and we are therefore hopeful that this principle for treatment can be developed for humans, even if this will require many years of further research,” he added.

Did You Know? Prostate Cancer Kills One Man Every Hour (Here Are What Every Man Needs To Know)

A man is diagnosed with prostate cancer every 2.9 minutes. Do you know how likely you are to be among them? Have you been tested?

Prostate cancer is cancer of prostate gland. The prostate gland is a walnut-sized gland present only in men, found in the pelvis below the bladder.

One in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. If you’re not aware about the lifestyle factors that put you at risk, why continue to put yourself at such a disadvantage? From proper diet to the diagnostic tests available, consult these facts and figures and know where you stand.

It is not known exactly what causes prostate cancer, although a number of things can increase your risk of developing the condition. These include: Age – risk rises as you get older and most cases are diagnosed in men over 50 years of age
1. Know your risk for prostate cancer
Increasing age is one risk factor, but so are family history, and ethnicity. In fact, African-American men are 1.65 times more likely to be diagnosed and 2.4 times more likely to die from the disease.

2. Prostate cancer is not just an old man’s disease

The reality is just the opposite: 1 in 325 men under the age of 49 will be diagnosed with the disease.

3. Your prostate is small, but mighty

Prostate cancer begins in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system that is shaped like a walnut. Though it may be small and often forgotten, the prostate is pretty important: it helps regulate urine flow and produces semen.

4. A healthy lifestyle can help reduce your risk, so put down the steak and cigarettes

A healthy living plan is important when it comes to prostate health and if diagnosed, fighting prostate cancer. This includes regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and eating a healthy, plant-based diet with limited animal products. A heart-healthy diet is a prostate-healthy diet. If you smoke or use tobacco, stop—and if you don’t, don’t start.

5. Early detection is vital

Early stage prostate cancer has no symptoms, so understanding your risk is critical. Catching the disease early gives men who are diagnosed the best chance of living longer—the five-year survival rate for the disease is greater than 99 percent when caught early. Talk to your doctor about your risk and making a plan to test for the disease.

6. Prostate cancer is more common than you might think

In 2016, it is estimated that there will be 180,890 new prostate cancer cases—as much as lung and colorectal cancer combined. Here are a few more stats to keep in mind: prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among American men and is the most commonly diagnosed. Currently, there are nearly 2.9 million American men who have been diagnosed with the disease.

7. Prostate cancer testing is considered controversial, but it is necessary

It is important to talk to your doctor to make an informed decision about when to begin testing for prostate cancer. Testing is simple and includes a blood test—the PSA (prostate specific antigen) test—and a DRE (gigital rectal exam), where the doctor feels the prostate with his finger.

8. There is a war on prostate cancer

The Department of Defense plays an active role in fighting prostate cancer by funding innovative research. An annual summit connects advocates with elected officials to educate them about the importance of research funding.

9. Together, we’re making strides

Each year, clinical trials present new treatment options for men battling prostate cancer. In fact, advances in treatment have reduced the death rate from prostate cancer. Most recently, genomic testing has risen to the forefront as a method of determining whether a man’s cancer is aggressive or slow growing, allowing for a more personalized approach to treatment and management of his disease.

10. You can join the fight

There are many ways to get involved in the fight against prostate cancer. Spread awareness locally by participating in community events, participate in fundraisers in your area and have a frank, open discussion with loved ones about the disease. Together, we can end it.

10 Good Health Benefits Of Taking Raw Ginger (Natural Home Treatment)

NATURAL HEALTH BENEFITS OF GINGER

Ginger is a flowering plant whose plant, ginger or just ginger, is widely used as a spice or folk medicine, it is a perennial herb which increases the annual pseudoscope about the one-meter high meter with narrow leaves..

Consumption of all types of fruits and vegetables has long been linked to the low risk of many lifestyle conditions of health.

However, some herbs and spices can offer additional health benefits. One of them is ginger

Scientific analysis shows that ginger contains hundreds of compounds and metabolites, some of which can contribute to health and treatment. Of these, Ginger and Shongololo have been the subject of much research.

Ginger is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices on the planet. It is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain.

Here are 10 health benefits of ginger that are supported by scientific research.

1.)  Helps to Support Memory
Ginger has been shown to help support memory, along with other brain functions. One study examined the benefits of ginger extract on various aspects of brain function in 60 middle-aged, healthy women. These women were randomly assigned to receive either ginger extract or control once daily for 2 months.

These participants were evaluated for memory and brain function at three different time points – before starting the study, after one month, and after two months. Ginger extract reported the study researchers, “enhances both attention and cognitive processing capabilities, with no side effects.”

2.)    Ginger May Lower Cholesterol Levels
High levels of LDL lipoproteins (the "bad" cholesterol) are linked to an increased risk of heart disease. The foods you eat can have a strong influence on LDL levels.

In a 45-day study of 85 individuals with high cholesterol, 3 grams of ginger powder caused significant reductions in most cholesterol markers.

This is supported by a study in hypothyroid rats, where ginger extract lowered LDL cholesterol to a similar extent as the cholesterol-lowering drug atorvastatin.

Both studies also showed reductions in total cholesterol and blood triglycerides.

3.)  Ulcers and GERD
Since the 1980s, researchers have known that ginger can cure stomach ulcers. More recently, Indian scientists have been able to more closely quantify this medicinal effect. In a study published in the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, they discovered the ginger was six to eight times more potent than Prevacid, the drug of choice to treat GERD, or acid reflux!

4.) It can help you lose weight.
Some small studies have linked ginger intake — when combined with other plant extracts — to some benefits in weight loss. And there's definitely some promising animal research linking ginger to weight management. But as with anything else, ginger is no magic weight-loss pill! Other components of a healthy, balanced diet matter just as much when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off.

5.) Nausea
Chewing raw ginger or drinking ginger tea is a common home remedy for nausea during cancer treatment.

Taking ginger for motion sickness seems to reduce feelings of nausea, but it does not appear to prevent vomiting.

Ginger is safe to use during pregnancy, to relieve nausea. It is available in the form of ginger lozenges or candies.

6.) For Healthy Hair Grow and Migraines

7.) Ginger Can Help Treat Chronic Indigestion
Chronic indigestion (dyspepsia) is characterized by recurrent pain and discomfort in the upper part of the stomach.

It is believed that delayed emptying of the stomach is a major driver of indigestion.

Interestingly, ginger has been shown to speed up emptying of the stomach in people with this condition.

After eating soup, ginger reduced the time it took for the stomach to empty from 16 to 12 minutes.

In a study of 24 healthy individuals, 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal accelerated emptying of the stomach by 50%.

8.)   It may lower your risk of cancer.
The cell-protecting properties of ginger can lower the long-term risk of certain cancers. That's because the spice and other flavorings may reduce cellular activity that causes DNA changes, cell death and proliferation of cancer cells.

It could also help sensitize tumors to treatments like chemo and radiation. While ginger's not a cure-all for any chronic disease, using it regularly with loads of other spices and plant-based foods can help benefit health overall.

9.)   Pain reliever
The fresh juice of ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is known to act is a pain reliever.

A very effective remedy for back pain is to mix a spoonful of ginger juice with some olive oil and massage it over your skin. Leave it overnight and you will feel relieved the next morning. It can also help in curing a toothache or a pulsating migraine headache.

10.) A cure for acne
This is easily understandable as acne is an inflammatory condition and ginger is known got its anti-inflammatory properties. It is a natural and effective treatment for acne and acne scars. You can directly apply a small amount of ginger juice on the affected area and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse with cool water and let it dry.

The Vitamin C in ginger juice can help in clearing skin blemishes. You can even use the juice to make ginger tea which is great for detoxifying the skin. Brew the ginger juice with tea leaves, add some honey and lemongrass to reap more beauty benefits and drink up.

According to Dermatologist Dr. Deepali Bhardwaj, "Ginger juice can help remove toxins from the skin and supply more iron through the blood that will leave you with a healthy glow. It can also be applied to cuts or wounds to heal them naturally and prevent scarring."
